On Day 3 of the conference, we host a workshop on archiving research data in the Tromsø Repository of Language and Linguistics (TROLLing), a professionally curated, open, and searchable repository for linguistic data and code. TROLLing is built on "The Dataverse Project" application, developed at Harvard University in collaboration with many contributors worldwide.
Sharing research data is more important than ever. Being a part of the Open Science community is required by more and more actors: funding agencies, journals, and institutions. This hands-on workshop invites researchers, students, and linguistics enthusiasts to explore the benefits of open data and learn how to deposit their datasets in The Tromsø Repository of Language and Linguistics (TROLLing, https://site.uit.no/trolling/).
TROLLing is an international research data repository designed to facilitate the sharing of linguistic data, fostering transparency, collaboration, and reproducibility in research.
Join us in contributing to a growing community of researchers committed to making linguistic research accessible, reusable, and impactful for generations to come!
Sign up here by February 27th (and remember to bring your laptop).
The workshop is hosted by Helene N. Andreassen and Mara van der Ploeg, senior research librarians and linguists.
