The conference will be held at the university campus Breivika in the city of Tromsø at the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education (Fakultet for humaniora, samfunnsvitenskap og lærerutdanning), in the building called "SV- og HUM-bygget". The conference will be hosted by the Department of Language and Culture (Institutt for språk og kultur).
Tromsø is regarded as the capital of the Arctic and has been the starting point for North Pole expeditions. With a population of about 80,000, Tromsø is known for its rich cultural life, northern lights, and midnight sun. It is located at 69 degrees north, 350 kilometers above the Arctic Circle.
