Arctic Youth workshop. From Awareness to Deep Practice: How NASAK Develops Equitable Services

Johan Inge Greff

Join Arctic Youth and Johan Inge Greff from the National Sami Competence Centre for this open workshop.

This workshop examines how services can be developed to become more equitable and culturally sensitive when working with Sami children, young people and families. Drawing on NASAK’s mandate, it highlights the link between expertise, practice and system development in efforts to strengthen dialogue between services and Sami users.

Through a professional introduction, reflection and practical examples, participants will explore how intercultural competence, communication and professional frameworks of understanding influence the interaction between services and users.

The aim is to provide participants with insight into how NASAK works to develop equitable services, and to contribute to new perspectives on how complexity can be understood and managed in this work.

The workshop is part of the Arctic Youth conference 1-2 June, full programme here.
