Tromsø

• Tromsø, often called the capital of the Arctic, and has been a historic launching point for North Pole expeditions. 
• Home to roughly 80,000 residents, Tromsø is known for its rich cultural life, northern lights, and midnight sun.
• It is located at 69 degrees north, 350 kilometers above the Arctic Circle.

UiT The Artic University of Norway

UiT is the largest research and educational institution in Northern Norway. It is the northernmost university in the world, located in Arctic Norway.

In the QS World University Rankings 2024, UiT was ranked among the world's top 100 universities for linguistics: No. 67 globally and No. 1 for linguistics in Norway in 2024. UiT has a large, active, and growing community of linguists and language instructors.

The conference is hosted by Department of Language and Culture (Institutt for språk og kultur), Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education (Fakultet for humaniora, samfunnsvitenskap og lærerutdanning).

Most of panels will take place in the building called SV- og HUM-bygget.
