ACTIONS Information Webinar: New interdiciplinary master's course seeks facilitators!

The ACTIONS course is focused on building capabilities in teamwork and innovation for advancing sustainability. Throughout the semester, students from different faculties will work in interdisciplinary teams to develop transformative actions for addressing real-world sustainability challenges provided by partners organizations from across Northern Norway.

ACTIONS is a mandatory new common course for master’s students at UiT and therefore will have around 600 students!

Teaching will occur through diverse formats, including: an interactive forum with partner organizations, online modules, facilitated activities in group seminars, and a closing event where students present their proposals for transformative actions back to the partners.

We are currently recruiting 15 people to work as ACTIONS course facilitators in autumn 2026 and 2027, paid as a 20% position.

Each facilitator will support the work of four student teams, guiding them through the planned seminar activities and serving as their course examiners. Facilitators will receive support through a 2 day training workshop (August 13 & 14), regular briefing and debriefing sessions for each gathering with students, and a dedicated partner facilitator for their sustainability challenge. They will be key members of the teaching team and a central part of the student experience in this exciting new interdisciplinary course.
