DEEP DIVE - Paper Development Workshop

MultiTrans research project is pleased to announce the Writing with the Arctic - Academic publishing initiative for the 2025-2026 academic year, supporting academic knowledge production across disciplinaries. As part of this initiative, we warmly invite you to join our in-person: Deep dive - Paper Development Workshop

Have you been working on an article that needs a final push? Would you like to experiment with new writing strategies or explore how writing coaching can support your process? This workshop offers you the chance to move your manuscript forward in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment.

The DEEP DIVE - Paper Development Workshop (PDW) is designed for qualitative researchers at different stages of their careers—including PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and established scholars—who are preparing a research article in English for an international peer-reviewed journal or an edited volume. Possible topics may include social, cultural, political, or environmental events and processes, examined through lens of qualitative research.

Throughout the week, participants will receive developmental feedback on their manuscripts and engage in: Collaborative writing sessions, discussions on publishing and peer review, strategies for writing and building qualitative arguments, networking and peer support in a collegial atmosphere.

Can I apply to join in? Yes, if you can tick all these boxes

  • I am in the process of writing a new research article in English for an international peer-reviewed journal or a peer-reviewed book chapter.
  • I have already collected the data I am using in this article, and I have made some preliminary analysis, but I have not yet submitted the text for peer-review
  • I am willing to share my writing and I am committed to commenting on other papers in a constructive and helpful way.
  • I am willing to participate in and contribute to collaborative writing and thinking.
