EU Research

Dette er et erfaringsbasert kurs der kursholderne deler av sin erfaring med EU prosjekter. Vi går gjennom oppbygningen av Horisont Europa og bakgrunnen for dem. I tillegg får kursdeltakere muligheten til å gjennomføre en topic-analyse som en øvelse til hvordan finne relevante utlysninger. Kursholderne går også gjennom hvordan skrive impact i EU søknader og veien videre når man først har fått et EU-prosjekt.  

Kurset holdes på norsk, med kursmateriell på engelsk. Kurset kjøres i fem bolker à 1,5 timer i samme uke, mandag - fredag kl. 09.00-10.30

1: Policy og introduksjon til HE
2: Missions og partnerskap
3: Prosjektutvikling og topic analyse
4: Impact - Scientific, economical, societal – henvisning til key strategic orientations, hva er impact av søknad/prosjekt 
5: Hva nå?

The aim of the brokerage events is to build a platform, bring together researchers, public and private sector participants to share ideas, knowledge, and expertise and to find suitable partners for future consortia under the specific Horizon Europe calls with a deadline of 2025.

You can either register as an attendee (you will have opportunity to listen to the pitches) or as a pitch presenter (to make a 3-minute pitch on your project idea and/or your relevant expertise fitted to one of several calls of the clusters).

MSCA Doctoral Networks (DN) is a much sought-after scheme that funds doctoral fellows from all over the world in European research education networks. The networks, or projects, last between four to five years, and can fund 15 PhD students for up to three years.

DN comes in three variants: European Standard Networks, European Joint Doctorates (joint degrees) and European Industrial Doctorates (industrial/public PhDs). The call is open to all disciplines and has no thematic priorities. This helps to make them very sought-after, and therefore the competition is fierce. For this reason, we recommend that future participants/supervisors in Doctoral Networks participate in this webinar. 

The 2025 call opens on May 28, and the application deadline is November 25, 2025.

In the webinar, you will get an introduction to the application requirements and we will go through the various evaluation criteria. We will also have a DN coordinator who received funding a couple of years ago who will talk about his experiences.

The webinar series ('How to navigate CONNECT by YERUN) will present and explain the platform to a broad audience across YERUN, including both researcher and research managers. CONNECT by YERUN is an innovative digital platform by YERUN – Young European Research Universities Network where UiT is a member – to foster collaboration among its member institutions. It allows researchers and research administrators to find partners for externally funded research projects, scientific collaborations, publications, etc.

Sign up now for the transferabe skills course at UiT's High North Academy in the Autumn semester.

FSK-8005 Funding your research - why and how? (3 ECTS) is a course designed to introduce the process of writing a (successful) research proposal and give insight into the proposal evaluation process. The High North Academy’s philosophy is learning by doing, and to obtain the course ECTS you will work on your own real proposal for an external funding agency of your choice and receive feedback. This course is recommended for PhD candidates in their third or fourth year. We encourage also postdocs to register for this course this autumn since we have more places available.
