Melina Duarte er en internasjonalt utdannet filosof med ekspertise innen områdene moral og politisk filosofi. Hennes forskningsinteresser sentrerer seg om integrering og inkludering av minoriteter med fokus på mangfold og kjønn. Duarte er førsteamanuensis i etikk ved institutt for filosofi og forsker ved senter for kvinne- og kjønnsforskning ved UiT Norges arktiske universitet. Hun koordinerer Prestisje prosjektet.
