Førsteamanuensis ved Institutt for Samfunnsmedisin. 

Jeg er tilknyttet Allmennmedisinsk Forskningsenhet AFE Nord, hvor jeg sammen med John Brodersen og May-Lill Johansen leder forskningsnetværket for overdiagnostik i sundhedsvæsenet. 

Jeg er desuden tilknyttet Healty Choices projektet, hvor jeg er en del af WP 6 Education and transition phases, student knowledge and training, ledet af Kristin Benjaminsen Borch

    Research interests

    Jeg er antropolog men arbejder tværfagligt, særligt med inspiration fra sociologi og medicin. Jeg anvender såvel kvalitative metoder (etnografi, deltagerobservation, interviews) som kvantitative metoder (spørgeskemaer og randomiserede interventionsstudier). Jeg arbejder desuden med at kombinere kunst og videnskab for at få bredt viden ud til et bredere publikum. 

    Min forskning centrerer sig om overdiagnostik, social ulighed i sundhed, aldring, psykisk sygdom, brugerinddragelse, sygdomsnarrativer, diagnostiske processer, sundhed i en velfærdsstat, det primære sundhedsvæsen og bæredygtighed i sundhedsvæsenet.
