Electrification of Melkøya LNG plant

The Parliament's consideration of the proposal to halt the electrification of Melkøya is set for May 6. Electrification of Melkøya is described by the Labor Party as a necessary measure for cutting Norway’s carbon emissions. Other parties bring up carbon capture and storage (CCS) and phasing out the oil and gas industry as alternatives.
